How to use VoltBox™
1. Clip the battery on – slide your 18V battery into VoltBox until it locks.
2. Set the voltage – turn the dial and watch the reading on the display (12 V suits most 12V gear).
3. Plug in – connect your cool box, fan, lamp or pump to the 12V socket.
Tip: Take the battery off when you are done – then VoltBox draws no power.

VoltBox turns your tool battery into a 12V power source, so you use the batteries you already have on the shelf.
How VoltBox™ works
VoltBox clips straight onto your 18V battery and converts the voltage to adjustable 5–13 V.
Turn the dial and read the voltage on the digital display – 12 V suits most gear. Plug in your 12V lead and you are running.
Keep the cool box running – even with the engine off
Run your cool box from a tool battery instead of the car battery. One 5 Ah battery gives about 5–7 hours with a 40 L cool box.
Got more batteries? Just swap them – and your car battery is still full when it is time to head home.
Light and power at the cabin
No power at the cabin or on the deck? With VoltBox you get light, a fan and charging from the batteries already in your toolbox.

No. VoltBox comes without a battery or charger and uses the 18V battery you already own from DeWalt, Makita, Milwaukee or Bosch Professional. Remember to choose the right battery system before adding it to your basket.

How long does the battery last?
How long does the battery last?
It depends on what you run. As a rule of thumb, a 40 L cool box runs about 5–7 hours on one 5 Ah battery – a fan or LED lamp much longer. VoltBox cuts out at low voltage so the battery is never fully drained.
What can I plug in?

Anything with a 12V plug up to 10 A: cool box, fan, lamps, pumps, heated pads and chargers. Check the power rating of your gear – 10 A is about 120 W at 12 V.

No. VoltBox cuts out at low voltage before the battery is damaged. Just put the battery on your normal charger afterwards, and take it off VoltBox when you are not using it.
